Scope

These are the General Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy of Highland Baths at Highland Base Kerlingarfjöll, operated by Kerlingarfjöll ltd., with registered office at Norðurljósavegur 9, 241 Grindavík, Iceland

These terms and policies apply to all Highland Baths guests with online bookings made through our website, https://www.highlandbase.com, here inafter referred to as „the website“.

Prices and payments

All purchases made through the website require full payment with a credit card at the time of purchase. The prices on the website are in ISK. Prices include VAT and all other taxes and service fees. Prices quoted can change without notice. After payment has been made and/or an invoice has been issued, the price is guaranteed against any surcharge, unless there is a price increase due to changes in law or regulations, or currency fluctuations.

E-tickets

When you book your admission on the website, the electronic ticket you receive can only be used once. Subsequent attempts to re-use the same ticket will be rejected.

Unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation. [PP1] Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and if so are void. Tickets are not redeemable for cash. It is illegal to reproduce them in any form.

The ticket is valid only on the date and time selected in the booking process and clearly stated on the ticket you received after completing your purchase. If you arrive at another time, Highland Baths cannot guarantee availability.

Amending a booking for Highland Baths

To amend a booking, please visit https://my.highlandbase.is/auth/hb/signin or send us a request via email at info@highlandbase.is and reference your original booking confirmation number. You cannot change the date or time of a booking after the originally selected date/time has passed.

Cancelling a booking

All cancellations must be presented to Highland Base through https://my.highlandbase.is/auth/hb/signin or in writing, via e-mail, to the address info@highlandbase.is

• If you cancel with more than 24 hours' notice: 100% is refunded

• If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice: No refund is made

Highland Base reserves the right to cancel all bookings and reservations, when unable to provide the company’s services due to a Force Majeure event, such as, but not limited to, weather, strikes, natural disasters, or any other irregularity outside the company’s control. In such an event, no compensation or refund is payable.

Transfer

Bus transfer between Highland Base and Reykjavik is available as an add-on in the booking process. When you book a transfer with your entrance package, you will receive a separate email which contains the transportation voucher.

Photographs, films, and social content

Photographs, films, or social content taken at Highland Baths, or other Highland Baths facilities, cannot be used for any commercial purposes without prior written consent from Highland Base. We reserve the right to seek compensation for any use which is contrary to our conditions.

Liability and insurance. Force Majeure

Highland Base disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or changes in schedule caused by Force Majeure event, such as but not limited to weather, strikes, natural disasters, or any other irregularity outside the company’s control and for expenses due to any of these reasons.

Highland Base disclaims responsibility for any guest valuables that might get lost or damaged during the visit. All such losses and expenses are the personal liability of the guest.

We advise all our customers to have valid travel insurance. This insurance should be obtainable in your country of residence.

General provisions

You agree that any claim, action, or lawsuit arising out of these terms and conditions and/or the services/products purchased, shall be interpreted and governed in conformity with Icelandic law. For any legal dispute which may arise, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and competence of the Judges and Courts of the town of Reykjanesbaer, Iceland.

Terms amendments

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy at any time. The date of the last revision of these Terms of Service is set at the bottom of this page. Your continued use of the website after any such revision will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of such revision.
